Drawing

Layers

Draw needs a full-fledged layer management tool, comparable to that found in other vector graphics editors. The layer list can be shown and hidden with an arrow next to the page handle. Just like with pages, clicking a layer handle gives you a toolbar for that layer.

Color picker

LibreOffice needs a pop-up color picker (a quick pop-up, not a dialog) that would allow the user to choose any color in a variety of ways (from a pallete, RGB, HSL, CMYK, etc.) and would integrate an eye dropper.

And pleeeease don’t forget the hex code at the color picker…
If you use predefined colors it makes a big difference.
For example if i have the color (mostly as a hex-code) as a note or in this example in my browser, i have to do these steps:
    - switch to browser
    - select hex code
    - google the RGB values
    - copy the red value
    - switch to e.g. Writer
    - paste the red value (assuming I’ve done my way: extras->preferences->colors to mix a new color and consider a name)
    - switch to browser
    - copy the green value
    - switch to Writer
    - paste the green value
    - switch to browser
    - copy the blue value
    - switch to Writer
    - paste the blue value

    Much easier would be:
    - switch to browser
    - select hex code
    - switch to Writer
    - select ‘color’ and maybe ‘more colors’
    - paste the hex code

It’s really about the time to refactor the color-picker :(

Okay I have to confess I could also do this in one step by remembering all three RGB values, but it’s a lot more inconvenient and it should not be..
